Just when you thought it was over . . .

As a way of sharing what we saw and learned, Lina and myself welcomed a cozy crowd of friends to the Green Man this past FriNight to see a slide show of the trip. Our guests seemed impressed by the range of imagery and narration. Many of them had visited some of these places and added their own experiences to the mix. We got as far as Scotland—about half-way through the adventure—and will finish the exposition in another gathering, either this weekend or next.

Just last night, Howie presented another show for his colleagues at the Austin Tour Guide Association. That set of pictures emphasized touring opportunities in the places we visited and suggested ways the Capital City might improve its offerings to visitors.

Still to come: a seminar on Europe’s environmental efforts we witnessed and a possible book about the trip.
